The general intention of prayer of the Pope for the month of november is : That those dedicated to medical research and all those engaged in legislative activity may always have deep respect for human life, from its beginning to its natural conclusion.
His missionnary intention is : That in the Korean Peninsula the spirit of reconciliation and peace may grow.

Conclusion
These Pastoral Orientations which I am entrusting to you today, as part of the follow-up to the synodal process in which we all participated, mark an important step in the life of our Church. They will help us to consolidate our present strengths and to prepare enthusiastically for the future of the Church of Montreal.
Dear people of the Diocese, I invite you to put your heart and soul into the implementation of our Church plan and to bring to it all the fervour of believers who build their confidence on the Holy Spirit - guide and light of the Church, and on Christ who has promised to remain with us always. You are called to great solidarity, to a solidarity that will find its strength and its effectiveness in the attachment you show to your diocesan Church and in your ardent desire to be faithful to your baptismal vocation. Together we shall build a Church that radiates the joy of the Risen Christ.
In a special way, I want to thank all those who gave time and energy to the realization of our diocesan Synod and who, in faith and hope, will continue to give their collaboration to the building of a vibrant Church - faithful to its mission of evangelization and of welcoming every person who is seeking God and journeying towards the Kingdom.
